A short, honest page about what visit data is collected here, by whom, and why.
What is collected
This site runs two analytics counters: Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4. Both see the usual things: which pages you opened and in what order, where you arrived from, an approximate city derived from your IP address, your device type, browser and language.
Metrica additionally has Webvisor enabled. That means it records and replays the session: cursor movement, scrolling, clicks, and how the page looked in your browser. I watch those recordings to learn which texts get read to the end and which ones lose people.
What is not collected
There is not a single form on this site — no sign-up, no comments, no payments. There is nothing to type, so nothing typed is stored.
I do not sell or share this data with anyone beyond Yandex and Google as processors, and I make no attempt to work out which individual reader opened a page.
Who processes the data
Technically the data is collected and stored by Yandex and Google on their own infrastructure, under their own terms: Yandex privacy policy and Google privacy policy. Both set their own cookies.
How to opt out
The simplest way is any tracker blocker, or a browser mode that blocks third-party scripts — the counters then never load at all.
Specifically: opt out of Yandex Metrica and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.
